Nestled in the Strzelecki ranges of South Gippsland, djinta djinta Winery is a 34 acre property in the heart of the Australian mainland’s southernmost wine making region.
The name djinta djinta – which is the indigenous name for the distinctive sound the Willy Wagtail makes, was adopted in 1991. We are passionate about wine and set ourselves a high standard in both grape growing and winemaking and are proud of every bottle bearing our Willy Wagtail logo.
Chosen for the quality of the brown and grey loam soils on east and north facing slopes, the vineyard produces the finest quality fruit without the aid of irrigation.
The cool South Gippsland climate with its long sunny autumns results in small yields of approximately 2 tonnes/acre creating wines with a great depth of flavour.
We are also passionate about food! The deVine Restaurant opened its doors in September 2005 and we offer a-la-carte menus that change with every season. Each dish is created to compliment a particular djinta djinta wine and the menu contains a matched wine suggestion.
For a truly memorable experience, soak up the warm and friendly atmosphere by our cosy wood heater, or enjoy your meal alfresco style on the wide verandah complimented by vineyard and rural views.
djinta djinta Winery and deVine Restaurant is a multifunction venue well suited to weddings, functions and events with a personalised package deisgned to meet your individual requirements.
