Other times by appointment only.
The vineyard was established in 1987 with initial plantings of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines on the hill block site.
All vines are extremely vigorous due to the cool climate conditions, high rain fall and the fertile grey loam soils. Our viticulturalist
practices a traditional approach with each vine being individually tendered to by hand.
We also have Northern Rhone varieties such as
Marsanne and Roussanne which is unique to the region. Our home block comprises of Semillon, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Riesling
being the youngest variety planted in 2006. Both new and old-world methods of winemaking are utilized in the winery in order to allow
maximum fruit expression and complexity. Fruit is handpicked and graded using only grapes displaying maximum flavour and good acidity
balance to create a boutique, hand-crafted wine.
Not all of our wine is designed to be cellared, however, some of our wines need this opportunity to maximise their full potential.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Blends favour cellaring so the fruit, tannins and acids can complement each other over time. Wines
such as our Riesling, Semillon and MVR (Marsanne, Viognier and Rousanne) increase complexity over time in the bottle. Our museum wines
have been carefully selected and cellared on premise.
There is limited museum stock for those enthusiastic wine connoisseurs.
